Are you a qualified skipper with great people skills, who would like to work for an iconic tourism business in the tourism industry in Milford Sound? Then we want to hear from you!

We are looking for a Skipper to drive one of our vessels and assist with the day-to-day operations on board our daily cruises, whilst providing an excellent standard of service to our guests. You will be driving our modern, well-equipped catamarans on our daily cruises in the stunning Milford Sound Fiord. This position is a live-in role, with a fully subsidised land-based flat provided. We operate an 9 day on 5 day off roster for our Skippers, to allow for work-life balance.

Skills Required:

· Minimum SRL <24M, or Maritime New Zealand endorsed equivalent

· Demonstrable skills as a skipper carrying guests

· Keen and able to carry out basic boat maintenance on a regular schedule

· Ability to work both under direction and without supervision

· Team player

· Ability to work under pressure

· Current First Aid Certificate, with a strong focus on Health & Safety

· Good level of physically fitness and able to manage emergency situations

· Skilled at commentary and storytelling in an entertaining and respectful manner 

Desirable:

· Previous experience of living and working remotely

· NZ class 1 driver’s licence
