We are currently seeking 2 Galley Hands to join the crew for our daily cruise operation in our Milford Sound Operation.
If you are a hard worker, can work well in a team, and are physically fit, then we want to hear from you! You will be assisting our chefs in basic food preparation on our vessels, washing up and keeping the galley area clean and tidy, and will also assist the team with stores.

To be successful in this role your will have the following key skills and attributes:
• Hardworking and able to take instruction in a busy environment
• Previous kitchen experience an advantage 
• Calm and organised
• Physically fit and able to safely lift up to 15kgs
• Comfortable in a remote marine environment, and physically capable of dealing with emergency situations
• Understands the importance of Health and Safety, and the responsibility of all staff to contribute to a safe working environment
• Team player, happy to undertake whatever tasks are required to ensure our guests have an amazing time in Milford Sound.

You will be given full training and will be signed off on our vessels, in accordance with Maritime New Zealand standards.

These roles are best suited to people who enjoy the outdoors and are comfortable interacting with large numbers of guests in a shared staff accommodation arrangement. This is not the role for you if you are an urban creature who likes shopping, dining out,  and a big choice of nightlife! Milford Sound is an amazing playground for exploring, hiking, making new friends and building up your skills and experience in the marine tourism industry.

This is a full-time role, minimum of 70 hours per fortnight over a 10-day roster, which will include weekends and public holidays, and evenings. This is a live-in position, subsidised accommodation with private room, shared bathroom,  and a fully stocked staff kitchen are part of the job package.  You must be eligible to work in the role until the end of the season (30th April 2025).
