Reservations Consultant
We are currently seeking a new team member to work as a Reservations for our Queenstown Operation.

As part of our close-knit team, you will have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire for excellence in all that you do. You will be working at our Head Office Office in Remarkables Park, booking and selling Southern Discoveries products over the phone and via email. You will also help out at our Central Queenstown Retail outlet, coordinating our morning coach dispatch, and selling tourism products to visitors, so there is plenty of variety in the role.
To be successful in this role you will have the following key skills and attributes:
• Minimum of 12 months experience in a reservations role
• Passion for delivering great customer service and an outstanding visitor experience
• Calm and organised, with outstanding attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate, with experience in tourism booking systems, preferably IBIS
• Strong team player, but also able to work autonomously once you are trained on our processes
• Professional, punctual, and reliable
This is a full-time, permanent position, guaranteed 40 hours per week over a 7-day roster, which will include weekends and public holidays, and some early mornings/evenings. You will be given full training and the job has plenty of variety in a fun and supportive team.
Southern Discoveries is a premium tourism company dedicated to sharing some of New Zealand’s most iconic scenery and extraordinary experiences with the world. The company offers a range of Milford Sound cruises, with coach and scenic flight transfers from Queenstown and Te Anau. We operate a number of retail outlets in Queenstown, Te Anau and Milford Sound.
